Gunning Point Bed & Breakfast is in the beautiful coastal community of Sippewissett on the west coast of Falmouth.  The house was completely remodeled in 2024 and is an oasis of comfort and warmth.  The house was originally conceived by the renowned architect, Dieter Siegl and has a passive solar design built around a large multi-level solarium entryway.  The first floor comprises the bedrooms two of which are guest rooms and they are both outfitted with two twin beds.  One of the bedrooms (Jackson’s Room) has French doors leading to a patio with mature plantings and ocean views.  Both bedrooms share a central bathroom or if they wish, they can each have their own (the guests of Austin’s Room using the bathroom on the second floor).

Breakfast is served on the upper level which is a large, sun-filled open space with a lofty cathedral ceiling and multiple French doors leading to a deck, which looks out to the sea and beautiful foliage.  The deck is a gathering place for our guests to enjoy.  Breakfasts are varied and delicious and always use the freshest local ingredients. Myra has always enjoyed cooking and brings that love of food to the breakfast table.

We have two beautiful private beaches for our guests to enjoy and we provide beach chairs and towels for their convenience. There is also much to see in Falmouth and the surrounding areas and no visit to Cape Cod should be without some exploration of the area.  Falmouth has very special beaches, walking trails, nature reserves, art museums and galleries, harbors for boat rentals and Woods Hole where you’ll find the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.

One of great highlights of the area and close to the B&B is our spectacular 7 mile Shining Sea Bike Path.  This path meanders through the marshes, along the sea and into the woods running from North Falmouth to Woods Hole totaling seven miles. Nearby are bike rental shops should you wish to explore that way.  You can also enjoy the path by foot.

We have a lovely outdoor shower for our guests to use when returning from the beach.  It faces west and enjoys the warmth of the afternoon sun.

Gunning Point B&B honors the Japanese tradition of taking shoes off at the door.  We welcome you to bring some slippers or flipflops to keep at the door for inside use.  We thank you in advance for helping to keep our B&B clean.
